Glad to let you know that I have presented a paper on 27 th January, 2018, on the issue of identification of River Saraswati in Indian Sub Continent. The National Seminar was held at Hyderabad under the aegis of "Itihasa Sankalana Samithi(Bharatiya) and the programme was sponsored by Indian Council of Historical research.
In this seminar I have contradicted the notion of identifying the present day Ghaggar river as the erstwhile Sacred River Saraswati on the ground that,
Manu Smriti says that beyond Saraswati river the land is the land of Mlechchas and not suitable for conducting Yajnas. But it is also told in several Hindu Scriptures that Black Buck roams freely in Brahmavarta. Archaeological excavations in Ancient Sapta Sindhu valley revealed that Black buck lived there some artifacts showing pictures of black buck are found there. So Sapta Sindhu Valley cannot be called as Mlechcha desa.
And a River called as Ghaggar comprising of Rivers Chenab, Jhelum, Ravi, Sutlez and beas flow into the present day River Sindhu. This aspect is told in Yajurveda saying that Panchanad joins River Sarasvati. So present day River Sindhu must be identified as River Saraswati and not Ghaggar.
